Culpeper schools report graduation outcomes and employee health rates fall after rebid

The county agreed to increase its contribution so most employee premiums will decrease or remain flat; only the HMO employee rate stayed unchanged. The division will share detailed benefit rates and open-enrollment materials with employees the next day via email. A new microsite and short explanatory videos will accompany the open-enrollment period and enrollers will be available in person at designated dates and online for staff assistance.
Board members praised the communication plan and said the consolidated card and digital tools may reduce confusion for employees. Staff noted the enrollment microsite was produced by Colonial Life and emphasized staff will still be able to meet with an enroller in person if needed.
