Council advanced a second reading of an ordinance amending the zoning code to address residential architectural standards, PUD amendments and district names; members voted in favor on the second reading. The council also approved a second reading of an ordinance to permit tattoo studios as a use in EC-2 Community Commercial zoning districts.
By contrast, council members moved to table a separate ordinance (second reading) that would have amended city code requirements for fences on corner and double-frontage lots. One council member indicated they were likely to vote no on that ordinance as presented, and the council instead voted to table it to the next meeting to allow further discussion and revisions.
Motions for the second readings and the tabling were made and carried by roll call of the members present. Staff and council noted these items had previously undergone public hearings and a first reading at earlier meetings.
