The county noted an existing related project already in design (beyond 60% design phase) that will be constructed before this widening; Pond’s contract will cover the broader widening design from Market View to Tubman Road. Staff recommended approval and the board moved the contract in consent.
The scoping phase is the immediate next step; subsequent task orders will be issued for full design phases and right‑of‑way acquisition activities as needed. The contract is federally funded under the county’s TIP allocation and will require coordination with state and federal grant administrators.
