Emery County adopts service-animal policy to align county buildings with ADA

"The Americans with Disabilities Act, this would bring us into compliance with that act with regard to the use of service animals," a county staff member said during the presentation. The policy is meant to establish consistent procedures for service animals in county public buildings, clarifying staff and public expectations.
Commissioners voted to adopt the resolution. Staff said the policy will be published and notices posted in county buildings.
