District reports broad summer facilities work; solar nearly complete at five sites, Pleasant Grove courts to receive new coating

Jeremiah, the district—s business and facilities presenter, gave a detailed report on summer work across sites that included both routine maintenance and larger capital projects.

"Five of the seven sites are about 90 to 95% complete right now," Jeremiah said about the districtwide solar installations. He said Lakeview and Marina were the two remaining sites; Lakeview—s work was expected to begin in early September and Marina—s later in that month.

Other projects reported included kindergarten fencing and gutter replacements at Jackson Elementary, retrofitted LED lighting and epoxy kitchen floors at Green Valley and Marina, resurfacing and drainage work at Pleasant Grove that will receive an acrylic coating to mark courts for tennis, pickleball and floor hockey, and multiple gym-floor and locker-room refurbishments.

Jeremiah outlined ground improvements and field reseeding, parking-lot repairs where subgrade material required removal during the solar project at Lake Forest, and several in-house maintenance projects such as portable siding repairs and classroom carpeting.

Trustees and staff noted volunteer contributions and community partnerships for field art and site beautification. Trustees also discussed the potential for community use of the new courts at Pleasant Grove and possible revenue-generation, though no final decision or contract was made during the meeting.

The presentation was informational; no facilities contract approvals or budget amendments took place at this meeting.
