Patrick Connolly seeks another term on Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy board

Patrick Connolly, who has served about 11 years on the Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy (TARE) board, appeared before the Urban and Economic Development Committee on Sept. 10 for consideration of his reappointment.
Connolly told the committee he wants to remain on the board to help oversee a contract transition for solid-waste collections and to continue work on contamination reductions in the city’s recycling stream. He said the city’s trash-to-energy plant is back online after renovation and praised the current vendor’s performance.
Councilors thanked Connolly for his service and noted that the matter will be voted on at the 5 p.m. council meeting on Sept. 17. No formal vote was recorded at the committee meeting.
Connolly’s remarks on his experience, recycling contamination and the collections contract were made during the committee’s public discussion of the TARE reappointment.
