Council hears first reading to add Bell Park pavilion rental fee — $60 residents, $120 nonresidents

Angela Nemec, assistant director of Parks and Recreation, said the pavilion has capacity for roughly 20 people and staff recommends a rate of $60 for a four‑hour block for residents and $120 for nonresidents, consistent with other similar‑sized pavilions. If adopted, fees would take effect Oct. 1 and staff plans to begin accepting reservations at that time. Nemec said availability will initially be limited because of programming and events at nearby facilities and the library, and staff will coordinate scheduling with those entities.
The council opened and closed a public hearing and did not take final action on the first reading.
