Commissioners and staff agreed to rely primarily on the Supervisor of Elections office as the early‑voting site rather than securing an independent venue and staffing it for multiple days, both to reduce expense and to use an established, staffed location.
Commissioner Johnson pressed staff and the Supervisor of Elections on precinct consolidation and early‑voting site locations; staff and the clerk explained that combining Election Day precincts would save only a modest amount per precinct and risk confusing voters on Election Day. The commission declined to change day‑of precinct assignments but directed staff to continue working with the Supervisor of Elections to minimize cost where possible.
The resolution passed on a roll call vote with all commissioners voting in favor.
