The Washington Unified School District Board of Education on July 24 appointed a new member to the Measure Z Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee.
Chief Business Officer Monique Stovall told the board the candidate is a PTA member with children at Stonegate and River City and that the Bond Oversight Committee monitors spending of voter‑approved bond funds and reports annually to the community. Trustees noted the committee requires a time commitment and discussed outreach to recruit volunteers from specified sectors.
Trustee Hunt moved to appoint the candidate; Vice President Coffey seconded. The board approved the appointment by roll call vote.
