The Santa Barbara Airport Commission unanimously elected Dan Glaser chair and Levi Maya vice chair during its Jan. 14, 2025 meeting, and approved the consent calendar.
Commissioner Gradman moved to elect Dan Glaser as chair and Levi Maya as vice chair; Commissioner Paul Bowen seconded the motion. With no public comment, commissioners voted "aye"; the motion passed unanimously. After the vote, outgoing Chair Houghton passed the iPad to Chair Glaser.
The consent calendar was moved, seconded and approved by unanimous voice vote.
The meeting continued with a directors report and several substantive agenda items including an update on a draft request for proposals (RFP) for fixed-base operator (FBO) redevelopment, an update from the noise working group and a climate vulnerability assessment presentation.
No votes were recorded on the FBO discussion or the noise and climate presentations during this meeting. Public comment included one speaker from general aviation who asked that economic impacts on small GA operators be reflected in the climate study.
