Oconee Board approves 2026'27 academic calendar; confirms 2025'26 unchanged

Human Resources staff described the development process: advisory groups including superintendent, student, parent and teacher advisories requested a week-long fall break option, and staff provided two calendar versions for review. The board reviewed feedback collected from leadership and district staff through a Google form and recommended the calendar before the vote.
Board members clarified that the adopted change applies only to the 2026'27 calendar and that the 2025'26 calendar will not be amended.
Vote: motion moved, seconded, and recorded as unanimous (5-0).
