Board approves new hires, extracurricular roles, dual‑credit instructors and accepts two grants

The board then approved a slate of extracurricular and dual-credit instructors and assignments (several faculty members will teach dual-credit courses in partnership with Ivy Tech and other providers). The administration noted dual-credit courses include offerings across subjects (English, math, science, history, Spanish and career/technical pathways) and thanked staff for obtaining required credentials. The board approved the extracurricular and dual-credit slate by voice vote.
Separately, the board accepted two grants: $2,000 from the TriHealth McAuliffe High Foundation to fund supplies and training for a therapy dog at Franklin County High School, and $500 from the University of Cincinnati to support student-council blood-drive hosting. Both grants were approved.
Board discussion included recognition of staff credentials for dual-credit instruction, a brief clarification about credit-recovery and achievement-school programming, and a note that some extracurricular assignments were associated with additional compensation for dual-credit instruction.
