The East Ramapo board moved and approved the consent agenda and a package of action items covering personnel hires, contracts and procurements.
During the consent-agenda discussion a member asked how many assistant-director positions for personnel services the district planned to fill; the administration said the restructuring converted two coordinator positions to assistant directors and that hiring was within the adopted budget. A board member also asked for a finalized organizational chart and job descriptions for new instructional-coordinator roles; administration agreed to provide those materials.
Action item discussion flagged a clerical error on a professional-development contract with Wilson Language Training Corporation, which incorrectly listed district employee Ellen Andriello as a vendor contact. The board amended the motion to remove Andriello's name as the contact and approved the contract with that correction. The board also discussed resignations in speech-language services and was told one replacement hire would be presented at the next meeting and agency-provided coverage would be used if needed.
Several motions were voice-voted with board members recorded as saying "aye"; one board member said they were voting "no" on an individual CSE recommendation within the consent agenda during the roll call. The administration will provide follow-up documents requested by the board, including corrected contract pages and job descriptions.
