Staff pointed out a provision that sets an 18-month timer from the committee's establishment for a key deliverable; members agreed the change addressed prior concerns.
Board members also noted an inconsistency in term lengths raised during the meeting: section text described two-year terms while an earlier motion had named a three-year term for the appointee. The board amended the motion on the floor to set Chris Farmer's term at two years, with the motion passing.
The board approved the bylaws and the appointment in separate voice votes.
Other routine items handled in the same consent portion of the meeting included approvals of minutes and an event permit for the Fawn House Festival pending a certificate of liability, and authorization for the ordinance committee to light a demonstration sign on Main Street for one day on Nov. 19.
