Joe Glassman of Glassman Corporation presented an award of honor to the Ellis County Commission on Feb. 4 for work on the county administrative building—s mechanical redesign and energy-efficiency upgrades.
"We are members of them. They're the largest association for contractors in the state of Kansas, and we submitted our design to them for a review... and you and I were awarded an award of honor by the associate general contractors and their architects and engineers for the project," Glassman said, introducing his administrative executive, Danielle Lang.
Glassman gave a brief overview of the submittal and review process and noted the county's project was selected for recognition by an independent panel of architects and engineers. Commissioners received the award and thanked Glassman and staff for the improvement work.
No budget action or contract award was requested at the meeting; the presentation was ceremonial and informational.
