Public commenter urges USD 457 not to buy YMCA dome, calls for removal

She told the board USD 457 already has "a long list of maintenance and facility repairs and expenses that should take priority." The speaker identified herself as a former board member and asked trustees to consider long-term costs and upcoming grade-level realignment discussions when deciding how to handle the structure.
The remarks came during the public-comment portion of the meeting; no board motion or staff recommendation on the dome purchase was recorded during the hearing.
