The School Board unanimously approved renewal of the district’s boys hockey cooperative Dec. 3 and agreed to add Lincoln Academy as a participating school for the 2025–26 and 2026–27 seasons.
Superintendent Dr. Garrison explained that the cooperative already includes Beloit Memorial High School and multiple neighboring districts; Lincoln Academy requested to join with one student expected to participate. Mr. Chaney explained the cooperative’s fiscal model: participating districts are billed pro rata based on the number of students they send; the district’s portion is accounted for in activity fund 99 and expenses include transportation, officials, equipment and facility rentals.
No minimum participation threshold applies; administrators said the district would track per‑student cost share and would provide further detail to the board on billing if requested. The motion to renew the cooperative with Lincoln Academy passed unanimously.
