Committee approves annual waivers for Lincoln Memorial Drive events in 2025

Andrea Wallace, assistant director of recreation and business services, said the list consists of annual returning events: the Milwaukee Marathon, UPath Ride for the Arts, Harley‑Davidson Homecoming, the Northwestern Mutual Roots & Wings Walk, USA Triathlon (returning to the lakefront this year), the lakefront marathon, and a Thanksgiving turkey‑trap run. Committee members had no substantive objections; one supervisor asked, jokingly, whether the nude bike ride would come to the lakefront (staff said it does not). The committee recommended Item 6 for adoption by a 7–0 vote.
Parks will continue to coordinate closures with the City and event organizers and issue public notices and traffic plans as required.
