Council approves list of approved depositories; Computershare named for electric bond safekeeping

Clerk‑Treasurer Lynette Strecker presented Resolution 2025‑1, a list of approved depositories and security broker/dealers for the City of Torrington. Strecker told council the list is unchanged from the prior year except that Computershare Corporate Trust replaced Wells Fargo as trustee and safekeeping agent for the city’s electric bond.
Councilman Vikram moved to approve the resolution; Councilman Diehl seconded and the council approved the measure with ayes and no recorded nays.
Strecker said the change is a name replacement for the trustee and that no other terms or institutions changed on the list.
