Green said the proposed split met minimum requirements, and councilors approved both the plat exemption and the conditional use permit for a community facility in the R‑2 residential district by motion and voice vote. The approvals will allow the church board to own the new parcel and proceed with demolition of the existing hall and construction of the new community facility under the city’s permitting and inspection process.
No conditions beyond standard permitting were recorded in the meeting minutes; staff indicated further details will be addressed during permit review.
