Park board members said they remain short of funds to complete fencing and final site work and asked if the park board or county could help with part of an outstanding bill when an itemized bid is available.
The commissioners discussed possibilities but did not commit specific county funds at the meeting. Staff noted that Garrison Diversion accepts applications in spring and fall and that the board could consider a request when a contractor’s bill is presented. Park-related operational items discussed included freezer repairs (replacement motors estimated at roughly $1,000) and parking enforcement around park facilities during busy weekends.
Commissioners directed staff to include any formal request for county assistance in a future agenda when the final contractor bid is available so the board can consider budgetary options.
