Flagler Technical College's 2025-26 fee schedule and the district's VPK wraparound fees were presented at the July 8 workshop. Staff said the technical college schedule presented for 2025-26 did not change from the previously discussed draft. For VPK wraparound services the district proposed a fee of $70 per week; the fee is prorated for weeks with fewer school days.
District early-learning staff reported roughly 33 open VPK seats across district-run classrooms (Old Kings, Rymfire, and Bunnell had openings at the time of the report) and said those openings would be filled. Staff also summarized performance comparisons showing Flagler-run VPK attendees had higher early-grade assessment outcomes than children who did not attend district VPK: kindergarten median skill scores were about 9 percentage points higher and pass rates around 6 points higher for students who attended Flagler VPK.
Staff said they would provide a market comparison of wraparound fees in the community when the item returns for final approval.
