Oshkosh council approves multiple special-assessment final resolutions, five ordinances and routine licenses

The Oshkosh Common Council unanimously approved a series of final resolutions authorizing special assessments tied to multiple public-works contracts and laterals, and passed five pending ordinances and routine resolutions during its July meeting.

During a block of public hearings on final resolutions for special assessments for contracts (25-02, 25-04, 25-05, 25-07, 25-08, 25-09, 25-12 and 25-20), no members of the public stepped forward; the council closed each hearing and voted to adopt the final resolutions by voice or roll call, with each motion carried by all seven members present.

The council also approved five pending ordinances, including a zoning change with a planned development overlay at 3200 North Main Street and public-construction authorizations for the Lake Buttemore development (Phase 2). Each ordinance was moved, seconded and carried on roll-call votes.

Other actions on the consent and action calendar included issuance of a combination class B beer and liquor license for Team SNW LLC (The Truffle Pig, 224 State Street) and authorization to terminate and renegotiate certain ambulance service agreements with neighboring towns and villages and to explore options for future fire and EMS service delivery.

All roll-call tallies recorded in the council minutes were read into the record by the city clerk and reflected unanimous approval for the items listed above, unless noted in separate coverage for items that were debated.
