"It's just an old bypass pump. It's worn out. We've actually purchased three this year we had in the budget to replace," the utilities staff said. Separately, staff reminded commissioners of a full-day strategic planning session scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. the next day, covering policies and procedures, capital improvements and the commission's five cornerstones, with an expectation to finish about 3 p.m. Staff said chairs and room configuration would be adjusted for more interactive discussion.
