The Warren County Sheriff’s Office used the Board of Supervisors meeting on Nov. 5 to introduce several new and reassigned staff and to recognize deputies who completed the regional basic academy and field training.
The sheriff’s representative named new school resource officers, including Lindsay Knowles (from Page County), Deputy Christopher Hughes (assigned to Rusty Jeffries Elementary School) and Deputy John Christopher (assigned to Warren County High School). Officers completing the Skyline Regional Criminal Justice Academy and field training included Logan Acheson and Deputy Dylan Stogsdale, both assigned to patrol. The sheriff’s representative also introduced new investigators including Tyson Romer (accepted to criminal investigations in August) and Laura Phillips (previously animal control, now assigned to criminal investigations).
The sheriff’s representative thanked Major Winner and the sheriff’s captains for keeping operations moving during the sheriff’s attendance at the FBI National Academy. “I can’t thank my major enough…he kept things moving forward and that included hiring people, getting people through the FTO process,” the sheriff’s representative said.
Board members congratulated the new personnel. The introductions included brief biographical details — prior agencies, years of service, and some personal interests such as coaching and outdoor activities — provided by the sheriff’s office presenter.
Ending: The board received the personnel introductions and extended congratulations; the new deputies and investigators will begin or continue assignments in schools, patrol and criminal investigations as described.
