Elections staff: provisional and write-in ballots under review after smooth Election Day

Elections staff told Beaver County commissioners at the Nov. 15 work session that Election Day ran smoothly and that post-election work will include reviewing provisional and write-in ballots that could decide some contests.
"We had a smooth 1 yesterday," an elections official said, adding that staff across the county assist in overseeing elections and that many county employees helped with the process. The official said they had spoken with a staffer named Colin, who "is gonna start working through some of the writing and provisional ballots" because some races may be determined after those ballots are adjudicated.
No vote or formal action was taken during the meeting on election procedures; the elections office indicated it would continue standard post-election reviews and report any races that change based on provisional or write-in determinations.
