Resident urges council to list and preserve Jet Cemetery adjacent to Brown Center

Bagley said he has maintained a section of the cemetery where members of his mother‑in‑law’s family are buried and that many residents are unaware the cemetery exists. He described visiting the site to ready a plot for the holidays and encountering county sheriff’s personnel while cleaning and using trustee crews to assist. Bagley said he is getting older and asked the council to advise how to get Jet Cemetery placed on a list so people will see and care for it; he left contact information for follow‑up.
The council did not take formal action during the meeting on the request; staff indicated public comments will be forwarded to appropriate departments for consideration.
