Committee moves paragraph into Policy EE for child nutrition; asks for staff cafeteria-use data

The Tangipahoa Parish School Board Policy Committee of the Whole approved Oct. 21 a revision to Policy EE that transfers a paragraph from Policy JGB into Policy EE under the Child Nutrition Program and Management heading.
Administration said the change had been recommended at the Sept. 2 policy meeting and was intended to consolidate related language into Policy EE. Committee members asked the administration to supply numbers showing how many staff members purchase meals in district cafeterias and to model projected costs, should the board consider a discounted staff rate for non-student purchases.
A motion to adopt the revision was made and seconded, and the committee approved the change by roll call. The transcript shows the administration offered to gather counts of staff who go through the cafeteria line and to return with projections for projected prices.
No dollar amounts, effective dates or changed meal-pricing rules were set at the meeting; the committee asked staff (Miss Kendra) to provide data at a future meeting so the board can weigh whether to adopt any discounted staff pricing.
