The Enoch City Council authorized staff to issue a request for proposals (RFP) for asphalt crack-sealing services after a presentation by Public Works Director Hayden White on Sept. 17.
Hayden White told the council the city has used the same crack-sealing company for 10 years and that demand for the service has increased. "They aren—t doing a bad job, but there is an increase in this type of service. He wanted to make sure that we are getting most out of our money spent," White said, explaining the rationale for opening procurement.
White also said the city coordinates road work and RFPs with Iron County and Parowan City. Council Member David Harris moved to authorize the RFP; Council Member Bob Tingey seconded. The motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.
