Montgomery County commissioners voted unanimously to rezone approximately 10 acres at 4325 County Road 4410 from agricultural to Industrial I-1, following a planning commission recommendation and a public hearing with no recorded opposition.
A representative of Omega Thermal Solutions Group described the company’s operations and plans: a 60-by-100-foot shop for fabrication and storage, space for vehicle parking and a pilot thermal-dehydration unit currently used for product testing. The company said it employs nine people and expects to add two positions in the coming months.
The planning and zoning commission reviewed the application and recommended approval; no members of the public registered opposition at the on-site public hearing. Commissioners moved, seconded and passed the rezoning change by voice vote.
The applicant said the site will initially be used for fabrication and storage, with a possible future 5,000-square-foot office building. County staff confirmed the parcel will access from County Road 4410 and that the planning commission had completed its findings of fact.
Commissioners welcomed the business and wished the owners success.
