The board approved a memorandum of understanding with Righteous Roots to continue providing counseling, addiction support, anger management and other services for students and adults in Coryell County. District staff described Righteous Roots as a longtime partner and recommended approval of the no-cost MOU to maintain services that include counseling, relationship skills, financial-abuse education and basic-needs assistance such as food and clothing.
District staff praised Righteous Roots staff and singled out Felicia Inman as highly qualified; the board moved to approve the MOU and voted in favor by voice vote.
The MOU was presented as a continuation of an existing partnership; no district cost or contract terms were discussed on the public record in this meeting.
