Council issues proclamations and honors longtime public servants Glenn Kibble and Lori Mosher

Mayor Stephen D. Kennedy read multiple proclamations at the Oct. 27 meeting, including a proclamation designating Nov. 1 as National Family Literacy Day in South Lyon.
The council also recognized long-serving public servants. The mayor read a commendation honoring Lori Mosher for more than 30 years of service to the city as a volunteer and city employee, noting her service in the water department, as finance director and as a volunteer on the Parks and Recreation Commission. The council similarly commended Glenn Kibble for more than 30 years of service to South Lyon, citing his contributions to parks, trails and community projects.
Josh Winslow, representing state Rep. Jason Morgan, presented a citation and a special recognition from the governor and lieutenant governor to Kibble for his decades of public service. The council recessed briefly for photo opportunities and members offered personal remarks and best wishes to both Mosher and Kibble.
