The Village of Cross Plains Sustainability Committee took the following formal and procedural actions during its June 11 meeting:
1) Approved minutes: The committee moved to approve the March 12 meeting minutes, the motion was seconded and the minutes were approved by voice vote.
2) Chapter assignments and timeline: Committee members volunteered to review and recommend sustainability insertions for specific comprehensive-plan chapters. Assignments and a delivery schedule were set: initial chapter reviews to be presented in July, remaining reviews in August.
3) Next steps on energy and design: Staff was asked to obtain a concise explanation from Focus on Energy and Wold Architects on village-hall energy options (three bundles, incremental geothermal drilling cost, solar-cost estimates) and to share those materials with the village board to enable a possible board vote.
4) Grant follow-up: Staff (Carly) will circulate the Dane County EV charger RFP and complete the application for a village-owned host site; committee members will review and assist with outreach.
Ending: The committee set follow-up tasks and requested staff return with materials and draft chapter insertions ahead of the July meeting.
