Commissioners approve vendor training to stabilize county meeting video streams

Chair Matari briefed the Board of County Commissioners on a staffing change in the county video/control room and a small vendor-training request intended to reduce interruptions to public meeting streams.
"So that total comes out to $735," Chair Matari said, describing training for both the director of IT and the person operating the control room. She said two cameras were nonresponsive that morning and the original equipment vendor can provide troubleshooting and operational training.
Commissioners discussed process: staff requested approval to proceed with scheduling the vendor training now so the training can occur and paperwork can be executed at the county's business meeting. One commissioner said if the training "needs to be done, then it needs to be done," and the board did not object to proceeding.
The training request is a one-time operational expense intended to prevent future livestream interruptions and to document troubleshooting procedures. Staff will present the contract or quote for formal execution at the next business meeting.
