Daggett County approves $281,787.57 invoice register, $362,123.86 disbursement listing and $5,000 for pickleball nets

Daggett County commissioners voted on Jan. 13 to approve three financial items: an open invoice register dated Jan. 13, 2025, in the amount of $281,787.57; a disbursement listing for Jan. 7–13, 2025, totaling $362,123.86; and a purchase request to Parkins Tennis Courts for two commercial pickleball nets for $5,000.

During discussion on the invoice register, a commissioner said there would be follow-up for reimbursements from several sources and noted funds in multiple county accounts. The motion was made and seconded; commissioners approved the invoice register by voice vote. Later, a motion to accept the disbursement listing dated Jan. 7–13, 2025 was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.

Jesse introduced a purchase request for two commercial pickleball nets that had been used for about six months but not yet paid for by a previous facilities director. Commissioners and staff discussed available grant funds and project accounting: staff said some prior grant money (a CEOb A‑part grant referenced in the discussion) and other project funds might cover the purchase, and that they would follow up with TRT and project close-out accounting. The commission moved, seconded and approved the $5,000 purchase request; the nets were already on site and in use.

Why it matters: The approvals authorize county spending and close out routine procurement and disbursement actions. The pickleball purchase is notable because staff said the cost will be allocated to a recreation project account and may be covered in part by prior grant funds.
