San Marcos council fills multiple boards and commission vacancies at Feb. 18 meeting

At its Feb. 18 meeting the San Marcos City Council filled seats on the comprehensive plan oversight committee and appointed members to a range of boards and commissions.
Councilmembers nominated and approved the following slate (nominator in parentheses where given): Rosalie S. Ray (nominated by Amanda Hernandez), Gabrielle Moore (nominated for parking advisory/downtown representation), Cody DeSalvo, James Pendergast (library board), Michael Williams (economic development board), Mark Murray (neighborhood commission sector 9), and additional nominees for the senior citizen advisory board and others. The minutes record that appointment votes passed; numerous ballots were recorded as unanimous (7–0) where shown.
Councilmembers said they selected nominees who had been active in prior focus groups, planning efforts or professional roles related to their assigned boards and noted that some applicants were deeply familiar with the comprehensive‑plan process.
