At its Nov. 5 meeting the Argyle Planning and Zoning Commission took a series of procedural and action votes.
Elections and consent:
- Paul Kula was named chair by acclamation during the nominations process.
- Dave Snell was elected co-chair by the commission; the final tally was recorded as 7-0 after a brief roll-call clarification.
- The minutes from the Oct. 1, 2025 regular meeting were approved on the consent agenda by a 7-0 voice vote.
Other actions:
- The commission voted to table SUP P-25,003 (a special use permit for a lighted sports court at the Argyle ISD middle-school site) to the Dec. 3, 2025 P&Z meeting at the applicant's request so the application could be revised.
- The commission recommended approval of the Tribes Church site plan with variances and added conditions addressing landscaping and berms; vote 7-0. The matter now advances to town council for final action.
Items deferred or on the horizon:
- Staff said several active development items (TxDOT AFA for FM 377 median infrastructure, Knights Ridge LOMR, and other plats) remain under review and that staff will bring additional details to upcoming meetings.
- The Heath Tract plan presentation was deferred to next month; an executive session was scheduled later in the meeting for economic-development negotiation related to that application.
All votes reported in the meeting transcript were unanimous (7-0) where a roll call or voice tally was recorded.
