The University Hill Area Management Commission reviewed a draft letter to city counsel at its Nov. 4 meeting and voted unanimously to approve it as submitted in the meeting packet.
Staff synthesized commissioners’ earlier submissions into a draft. After brief discussion about language and removing phrasing that might be perceived as confrontational, a commissioner moved to accept the letter. The motion was seconded and the commission voted in favor; the chair called the vote and announced it was unanimous.
Commissioners noted the letter incorporated concerns raised during recent meetings, including references to community vitality and funding transfers that had been discussed at the Oct. 14 summit. No additional edits were requested at the Nov. 4 meeting and staff will transmit the approved version to council counsel as the commission directed.
