Ulster County DA's office announces move, program launch and staffing change

A representative of the Ulster County District Attorney's Office, identified in the meeting as Sasha, told the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee on July 2 that the office is completing a move into a single building this month and will host a public launch for a new anti-violence outreach effort.
Sasha said movers were in that day and that the office expects to have staff "under one roof" by the end of the month. She described the relocation as a multi-department effort and thanked legislators and county executive staff for helping complete the move.
She announced that the DA's "One Life Only" program will launch on Sept. 6, 2025, at Deeds Stadium. Sasha said the program will include law enforcement participation, community groups and distribution events such as backpack giveaways, and that it will later expand into school outreach.
Sasha also said she will leave her current role next month after accepting a position with the New York State Commission on Ethics, Lobbying and Government. In extended farewell remarks she credited county staff and legislators for collaborative work during seven years of county service and said she is leaving in part to spend more time with family.
The committee offered thanks and best wishes on the record.
