The proclamation recited the Historical Commission—s preservation work, partnerships with local organizations and completion of grant-funded projects and National Register nominations. A representative of the commission thanked the court for the recognition and noted the commission was one of 60 of approximately 200 historical commissions recognized that year.
The motion to approve the proclamation was made by Commissioner Hogg, seconded by Commissioner Leacock, and carried by voice vote.
