Legal counsel explained that the MOA integrates the earlier addendum’s personnel section language into the comprehensive agreement. The revised language calls for a regular schedule of meetings between the Forsyth Tech liaison and early middle college leadership to discuss upcoming college programs and relevant administrative updates. It also provides that if an Early Middle College principal determines a planned college event is inappropriate for high‑school students, the district and Forsyth Tech leadership will collaborate to limit student exposure.
The MOA passed unanimously. Board members and counsel said the updated language is intended to better protect students while preserving the educational partnership with Forsyth Tech. Legal counsel said the specific addendum language adopted in 2023 has been absorbed into the new MOA.
