Brown said the fair is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on agricultural education for youth through support of 4‑H and FFA and that the event draws tens of thousands of visitors. He provided attendance estimates (about 43,000 in 2022 and strong recent turnout) and said the fair has provided more than $2.2 million to youth livestock exhibitors over recent years, more than $60,000 in scholarships and free admission for tens of thousands of schoolchildren for field trips.
Brown reviewed the fair’s volunteer structure, vendor and sponsor counts, and partnerships with county facilities and other local organizations. He outlined planned entertainment for the upcoming event, including professional rodeo performances, local music and a new thrill‑ride carnival attraction. Commissioners thanked the fair staff and noted legislative and county capital investments that have supported improvements to the fairgrounds.
