Commission renews preliminary-plat extension policy, elects officers

The Oldham County Planning Commission renewed the countyprocedure that allows one-year extensions to preliminary-plat approvals and reaffirmed the broader extension-of-expiration policy for a two-year period. Planning staff explained that preliminary plat approvals are valid for two years and that the procedure for one-year extensions must be renewed periodically; commissioners voted to renew the policy for another two years.
Commissioners also conducted internal business: Katie Nasser was nominated and confirmed as vice chair by acclamation, and Greg King was nominated and confirmed as chair. Staff previewed next months meeting and said a review by the Subdivision Review Committee (SRC) is likely to return to the calendar next month.
The commission closed the meeting after routine announcements.
