The Select Board voted on Nov. 4 to adopt a corrected accounts payable/disbursement policy that changes the signature requirement for paper checks.
Under the revised language approved by the board, all paper checks will carry three signatures: either all three select board members or two select board members and the treasurer. Board members said the change reflects current practice and corrects inconsistent wording in earlier drafts that implied a two‑signature rule. The revised policy will be recorded as replacing the prior accounts receivable policy (dated June 28, 2022) and the minutes will note the replacement and effective date.
The motion to adopt the revised policy was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff will circulate the final text for signature.
