The Select Board unanimously approved two requests from the housing department to waive 100 percent of sewer connection permit fees for covenant lots at 63 Arcato Lane and 8 Toombs Court.
Dylan Machampel, deputy housing director, told the board these waivers are consistent with town policy for covenant homes and asked for a full fee waiver; a Select Board member moved approval and both motions carried unanimously.
On a separate item, the board approved and executed a regulatory agreement and declaration of restrictive covenants for a rental development at 18–26 Sparks Avenue. The agreement, between the Commonwealth (Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities), the Town of Nantucket and the developer (ACK Mid Island LLC), formalizes affordability restrictions so the eight units restricted to 80% area median income will be eligible to count toward the state-recognized Subsidized Housing Inventory. Deputy housing director Dylan Machampel said all 32 units will be included on the inventory and that the agreement is key to final certification.
Provenance: Housing requests, fee waivers and regulatory agreement (tc 00:14:47–00:18:57).
