Board approves Alliance membership, transportation contract, policy first readings and donations

Membership: The board approved a resolution of joinder to participate in the Alliance for High Quality Education for $4,000 for the 2025-26 year (00:19:10). The superintendent said the alliance groups suburban districts for advocacy and shared interests at the state level.
Transportation: The board approved a transportation contract to the Lemon family to transport their child to the Toledo School for the Arts (00:20:48).
Policies: The board presented the following for first reading; adoption will be recommended at the August meeting: IGBLA (parental involvement), JECE (student withdrawal), JED (student absences and excuses), JEDA (truancy), JFCJ (weapons in school) (00:21:37).
Donations and disposals: The board accepted tools donated by Barbara Baker to Clay High programs (value $720) and golf equipment donated by Barbara Harrington in memory of Paul Harrington (value recorded as $6.50 in the minutes). The board also approved disposal of 599 manuals, handbooks, guides and student materials listed on the June 24 agenda (00:22:27—to 00:23:10).
