Public urges turf at Serrano stadium; trustees ask staff for costed options

Dozens of emailed public comments and multiple speakers urged the Snowline Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees to convert the grass football field and dirt track at Serrano High School into a synthetic turf field and an all‑weather track, citing safety, durability and expanded community use.

The board read public‑comment rules, then staff read a sequence of emailed letters asking that the district use Measure J or other bond funds to replace the turf so the field can be used year‑round without weather‑related outages and with fewer maintenance demands.
