At its June 30 meeting the Fort Stockton Independent School District Board of Education approved several financial and procurement items. A motion by Anastacio Dominguez, seconded by Ursula Sanchez, carried unanimously to approve the reimbursement resolution as presented. Trustees also unanimously approved Anastacio Dominguez as delegate and Kay Griffith as alternate for the 2025 TASA/TASB delegate slots (motion by Flo Garcia, seconded by Freddie Martinez).
The board approved A, B and C bus camera quotes (motion by Anastacio Dominguez, seconded by Kay Griffith) and approved a quote to purchase a truck to tow a band trailer (motion by Jennifer Gonzales, seconded by Sandra Rivera). Trustees unanimously approved a Program & Service agreement with Region 18 (motion by Sandra Rivera, seconded by Ursula Sanchez). The board also approved an exception to policy removing the $50,000 up to $100,000 per month superintendent limit for the purpose of media services through August 2025 (motion by Anastacio Dominguez, seconded by Kay Griffith). Finally, trustees voted unanimously to table the 2025-2026 Salaries and Compensation plan while allowing the use of the graphic as advertisement (motion by Anastacio Dominguez, seconded by Jennifer Gonzales).
