At a board meeting, Mr. Raymond, a Derry Area School District staff member, said the pool will offer open swims Saturdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m., subject to closures for holidays, meets or staffing limits. Reservations and party requests will be handled by email (dapool@dsad.us); the district will list availability on its facilities-use page and will use FMX as the public-facing scheduling tool for calendar and event information.
“The goal is to have the swimming pool reopened for reservations and open swims the weekend after Labor Day,” Mr. Raymond said.
Staff described fee tiers tied to board policy 707. Open swim admission will be $5 per person (cash only) for general sessions, with party pricing organized into resident and nonresident groups and lifeguard-ratio limits for party sizes (examples discussed in the meeting included $300 to $450 ranges for parties depending on group and ratio). Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult; adults may supervise from the upper deck and are not required to swim. Private parties will be available by request and subject to facility availability and deposit requirements.
District staff also described plans to phase in swim lessons later and to begin with open swims, reservations and parties; a hired pool recreation supervisor, Brandon Klimchok, will manage lifeguards and bookings. FMX will also display full athletic and event calendars, staff said, and the facilities page will include account setup instructions and help resources.
Board members thanked staff for implementing FMX and for coordinating the pool reopening. Staff said additional details, including the full policy reference (policy 707) and a facilities-use packet, will be posted online before pool operations begin.
