The 187th District Court accepted a plea bargain from Pilar Munoz in cause PCR005740. Munoz and counsel waived the reading of the indictment, and, following admonishments and review of written waiver and plea documents, the court accepted a negotiated disposition: 108 days in a state-jail facility and a $2,000 fine.
The court confirmed Munoz reviewed and signed the plea and waiver documents and also reviewed the effect of waiving appellate rights limited to pretrial motion rulings. The court received State's exhibit 1 and related attachments as the basis for the plea. Judge Boyd recommended therapeutic community services and advised Munoz of the prohibition on firearm possession that follows a felony conviction.
The clerk will enter the judgment and commitment per the plea, and the judge instructed counsel about the therapeutic referral process should Munoz require placement after release.
